An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his
grandchildren about life.
He said to them, "A fight is going on inside me...
It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves.
One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret,
greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority,
lies, pride and superiority.
The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing,
serenity,humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship,
empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.
This same fight is going on inside of you and every
other person too."
They thought about it for a minute and then one
child asked his grandfather,"Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied..."The one I feed."

spider crush .
If daisies could fly, I would catch one for you.
My shaved head is as good as yours
And each tiny petal breathes through stained glass.
I'll always admire your zero cool conception.
;; bitten .
my emotions are a |jungle|
a freckle of rushing water
shadowed lilac woods
ebbing stillness
ferocious butterflies
entangle themselves willingly
shivering quixotic pixies
writhing, convulsing, individual
together a violent dance
poison to a lonely pilgrim
if one should come
he'll stumble bewildered here
lost in an age
between iridescent chants
in the wildest mockery of grace
hate poem .
you cut down my apple trees and throw the red fruit
it runs away in kartwheels down the hill
my eyelids are cracking
how long can i stand up with a hole in my chest?
your totem pole attitude careens against my soft sandwich
i'm only the little pink petal you threw out your window last night maybe....maybe
you thought it was charcoal
snippets from your ashtray, hey?
be careful, you might break me with your pinches long before you notice
i feel, want to believe your design is honest
but the architect you make is skipping around with no head
screaming "let it go feathers"
how can i take you seriously?
your lips are telling me "giddy up, together we stand, let's be strong"
your heart is silent but i imagine night whispers "i need no one, she's already dead"
i always thought we would be as whole as a puzzle
am i only your whipping boy?
love poem .
each tiny freckle on your face glows
i chose to light them up without burning your eyelashes
be here now and don't forget
even monsters disappear come the daylight
i'm sitting in a little bubble with just us two
i wouldn't want to be in a little bubble with just anyone, but somehow i don't mind
we're two backs of the same freak
sliced apart and slimely
tenderly try-try-trying to rejoin
one stumble and a butter knife will cut us away
"oh look at the shiney seagulls!"
"i don't need to look i can see them in your teeth."
"oh admire the termite cloned lighthouse!"
"i'm staring at it right now in your left nostril."
"oh you're so awesome!"
"you are more awesome to me than awesome ever could be."
"take my five fingers"
"take MY five fingers"
"let's crawl into the jungle and run run run love love love"
"let's rather jump into the thermals and remember."
"okay!"
"okay."
turbulent peace .
upon a cliff you gaze into
the wild starless night
empty of clouds that should whir by
the sky is breaking
decapitated by rainbows
the colour of a freshly picked blackberry
pricking tears from your eyes
like an untamed needle
kilim bare & kindly:
old man, your slow speech
eat wormrats from
my white coconut shell
rashfully vunerable
my virginity shreds
through a velvet pinecone.
quantum |*| rose
tiny headaches intensify
prowling vicious flames
crackling fluid feeds my skull
my veins tell-tale cantankerous
encouraging dinosaur ecstasy.
silent predator .
A dim shadow, barely visible in the dense undergrowth
Tiptoes softly across dappled leaves
Padded feet point towards naïve prey
Moonlight plays music upon the glossy coat
Rippling over inky black fur
Like the patterns of watered silk
Powerful muscles swell beneath his smooth skin
Glistening with apprehension
A silver sheen that glows
Like shimmering stardust upon black ebony
Emerald eyes bewitch this mystic creature
Beauty only surpassed by the artful cunning
Smooth motion guides the cat through jungle flora
A captivating picture in this
enchanted grove
And then a sudden halt
As the buck comes into sight
He waits, watchful, wary...
But a piercing scream is heard over thundering feet
A bitter cry of disappointment
The master player has just missed...
Reckless but now wiser
He retires back into the enveloping night.
Sanguinary darkness .
I love to write thick waterfalls
When oatmeal autumns descend and
Blanket my fingertips
All covered in deep tangerine chocolate
Your tears sprawl down my doorstep
My gumboots are caked fossils
crackle crackle .
you are the untamed bird
who willingly surrenders
to the tiger that i am
helpless, ignorant, stupid i think...
so dependent on others yet,
i feel you could soar if you only tried.
given the chance.
a crude senseless wannabe
i cannot help but love you for what you are
a dormouse undercover.
sexilicious .
oh you're a smooth one for sure
like a snake you slither in and out of hallways
and people's minds
tearing apart their random thoughts
until they focus on you alone.
you fill hearts with promises
of everlasting fun and games
and then you slide away
cautiously though so it will not break them,
rip them apart.
traces of your presence linger
the harm yet undiscovered.
sprinter .
A motionless figure etched in stone
Dim silhouette against a brilliant sky.
Braced firmly in the blocks like a taunt drum
Elastic muscles ripple with tension, he shivers as
Thoughts of glory sway, swirl, skitter, slide
In a minlesss vacuum built from
Harsh expectations and restricted capabilities.
His red heart pumps madly as a wounded elephant,
Raw energy screaming to be unleashed
Scorching saliva causes his teeth to clench,
Hot and heavy like a dog in heat.
Fingertips delve the dust concrete
Leaving faint imprints upon the earth,
As sunlight to shadows.
White knuckles point towards the finish line
Aware of an impending signal
Catiously he wavers, wobbles, watches, waits
In quiet anitcipation
and.............now.
cancerous wood .
my bamboo pole thrashes
whips orange spices
and ginger lime transparency
thriving on violent affection
in scathingly mutilated sadness.
a scattering of jewels .
you catch lice on your tongue
wash your hair with rainbow coathangers
improvise balloons
and use the hen to entertain passers by
with tropical fruit dances
but you can't use an egg like an umbrella
you stroke the hairs on the back of your girlfriend's neck with an axe
safely carry an elephant child in a berry basket
eat unfamiliar mushrooms over bullets and plastic grapes
and naturally you breathe milk instead of turbine
your electric blender annihilates polka-dotted lizards
your frequent boxing matches with giant balls of popcorn make everyone laugh
but when asked to handle a heart you drink it up
